The CCBA works to promote, protect, and advocate at the federal level for nearly 1,200 small and independent craft breweries, brewpubs, and supplier partners in every province and territory.

The craft beer sector supports more than 30,000 jobs nationwide, representing 75% of all brewing industry jobs, including 8,800 in tourism, and contributes $1.7 billion to Canada’s GDP. The CCBA operates as a federation of provincial craft brewers associations.

Working For You

The CCBA does not collect membership fees from qualifying craft breweries. Part of the annual fee that breweries pay to their provincial association goes to support the work of the CCBA, including:

The CCBA partners with provincial associations to provide programs and tools that help brewery members manage their businesses more effectively. This includes negotiating preferred pricing with national suppliers, offering member pricing to the Canada Beer Cup, and members-only resources.

The CCBA champions authentic Canadian craft beer at home and abroad. Through initiatives like the Independent Craft Seal of Authenticity™, we help consumers recognize and support independent brewers. Our Canada Beer Cup celebrates brewing excellence and provides valuable feedback from world-class beer judges, helping breweries grow and succeed.
